On February 12, the fashion world lost one of their greatest creators.
McQueen was a creator and used his imagination to create fantasy, rebellion, and edge to fashion.
His unconventional shock tactics earned him the "British Designer of the Year" 4 times during his career. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Bjork and Sarah Jessica Parker were amongst his clients.
Models were sprayed with paint and encased with butterflies at his last fashion show.
Pop star Lady Gaga wore 12cm high shoes resembling a lobster claw for one of her videos.
The gothic inspired make-up creations didn't always follow the latest trends.

MAC cosmetics collaborated on many of his makeup looks that included heavy eyes, exaggerated big red clown lips, or erased eyebrows in a theatrical way.
Lee McQueen is survived by his father, three sisters and two brothers.

Excellent post and tribute to the insanely talented Alexander McQueen, what a shame to lose an amazing and brilliant talent in such a tragic way and certainly well before his time!
Thank you for your visit and say hello to Paris for me...will you? I have loved all things French since I was a little girl and although I was born in America to American parents, I'm sure there was some sort of mix up and I'm really French! lol
Hugs,
Karyn
Bonjour,
What a lovely tribute to Mr McQueen, it is such a loss to the fashion world.
I also wanted to thank you for following my blog. I don't seem to be getting you new posts, but then I've been having some trouble with Blogger...maybe it's just me.
Would you mind if I sent you an email? I have a little travel business and do personalized itineraries in Paris and have a few questions, only if you have time.
Merci and bonne journée
